My story
I've have always been drawn to making. From an early age, I was constantly creating - designing and sewing my own clothes, knitting, crocheting, painting and making comics. As a teenager, I worked in a dressmaking shop in Canterbury, surrounded by materials and crafts.
That instinct to work with my hands has stayed with me into adulthood.

​Alongside a long career in corporate marketing, I continued to explore different forms of making, including acrylic painting, large-scale mosaic art, as well as taking a year out to complete a diploma in silversmithing and gemmology. Each new discipline deepened my interest in material, process and the quiet satisfaction of creating something tangible.

Although largely self taught, my love for clay developed during evening classes at the Ceramic Studio where I learnt the foundations, alongside an in-depth course in glazing and hand-building with Paul Wearing and a figurative sculpture course with Hazel Reeves. I'm now excited to make my dream of becoming a full time ceramicist a reality, focusing fully on my lifelong passion for making.
Living in a village surrounded by orchards, vineyards and flower meadows - with the coastline less than an hour away - I’m incredibly fortunate to be immersed in the changing rhythms of the Kent countryside.
My ceramics span both sculptural and functional forms that explore symbolism, folklore and the natural world. ​​​​​Across all my work, I'm interested in how objects can hold personal meaning, memories, or act as a reminder of a moment in time. ​​​
